KCC and CCIS Joint Statement on Reestablishment of direct flights between Belgrade and Prishtina

Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and Kosovo Chamber of Commerce support the agreement that will lead to reestablishing direct flights between Belgrade and Pristina.

Reestablishing direct flights between Belgrade and Pristina will create favorable conditions for bringing closer business communities of Serbia, Kosovo and the Western Balkans and will contribute to the process of normalization of relations between the two sides.

The process of dialogue and cooperation between our two Chambers, initiated under the auspicies of the Eurochambres, in 2013, was conducted with the aim to bring closer business communities, to remove the barriers, advance the overall business environment in Serbia, Kosovo and the region as a whole and to contribute to the confidence and normalization of the two sides.

One of the priorities of the Chambers’ dialogue, apart from starting of postal and railway services, was establishing of direct flights between Belgrade and Pristina as an additional mean that will contribute to removing barriers to freedom of movement.

Therefore, we are strongly supporting the agreement reached to reestablish direct flights between Belgrade and Pristina and we are calling the authorities to agree without a delay about the necessary technical details in order for the flights to start.
