UNDP Serbia – public call for allocation of funds to companies in Serbia for the implementation of innovative solutions in Albania and North Macedonia

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Serbia has issued a call for funds for innovative solutions that can respond to the consequences of the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Albania. Companies from the private sector, public companies, universities and research institutes registered in Republic of Serbia can apply for the competition.

The call is published with the intention that local innovations, expertise and knowledge become part of the official development assistance that the Republic of Serbia provides to partner countries within the initiative for regional cooperation “Little Schengen”. Its goal is to enable public and private companies, as well as academic and research institutions from Serbia to transfer to innovative companies and organizations in the Republic of North Macedonia and/or the Republic of Albania innovative solutions whose implementation can mitigate the socio-economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic contribute to the recovery of these countries from the crisis.

Candidates can apply a new approach, product, or service that has already been applied, and they can propose a feasibility study that would test the proposed solution. The registered candidates are obliged to establish partnerships in the Republic of North Macedonia and/or the Republic of Albania, in order to ensure that the proposed solutions are adapted to the local context and sustainable in local conditions. The feasibility of the idea in the partner country/countries must be proven and documented in the application process.
