Belgrade, 23 December 2024 – The presentation of the CE Marking platform was successfully held today at the premises of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, as part of the Workshop on the Strategy for the Development of Quality Infrastructure 2025–2030, for the Republic of Serbia. The event brought together more than 30 participants, including representatives from SMEs, institutions, and quality infrastructure stakeholders.
As part of the workshop, a dedicated session for the presentation of the CE Marking platform was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia in cooperation with WB6 CIF and with the support of the European Commission.
This session highlighted the functionalities of the CE Marking platform and the benefits it offers to SMEs from the Western Balkans Six (WB6) economies. The platform is designed to provide complete, clear, and reliable information and guidance, enabling SMEs to ensure their products comply with the regulations and rules for CE marking, which is crucial for accessing the EU market.
CE marking platform is an online application created to help manufacturers from WB6 economies to identify which European New Approach Directives are potentially applied on their products, using a set of questionaries.
Part of the CE marking platform is also a knowledge base, containing important questions & answers in the field of CE marking and New Approach, as well as detailed instructions for users.
The session was expertly led by Ms. Natalija Jovičić Zarić, Head of Management Systems at Simplify outsourcing d.o.o., and Mr. Dušan Stokić, Head of the Center for Environment, Technical Regulations, Quality and Social Responsibility at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and coordinator of the Thematic Group on Quality Infrastructure, also offered essential insights during the session.
This presentation in Belgrade marked the final training session in a series of six events held across the six chambers of commerce in the Western Balkans, in cooperation with WB6 CIF and with the support of the European Commission, aimed at supporting local SMEs in manufacturing and production in understanding and utilizing the CE Marking platform.
This activity was organized within the framework of the Project: “EU support to WB6 CIF for the Development of a Common Regional Market.”
